Battlefield Hardline is a new series in the Battlefield franchise.. It was released about a year and a half after Battlefield 4. Unfortunately, it wasn’t very popular and is rather dead within its PC community, with only 5-6 servers being up at a time. To try and gain back some of the Battlefield community, Visceral has released some free weapons with the DLC updates.
M1A1

The thompson submachine gun is an american firearm chambered in .45 ACP and was designed by John T. Thompson in 1918. The Thompson submachine gun gained infamy during the prohibition era and was commonly used by both criminals and law enforcement and was used by the Allied Forces during the Second World War. some informal names for the Thompson are the “Tommy Gun,” the “Chicago Typewriter” and “The Chopper.” The M1A1 can be used by all 4 classes on both sides of the law and is classified as an SMG/PDW. The M1A1 can be equipped with a stubby grip and a 50-round drum magazine but starts with a 30-round stick magazine by default. It cannot be equipped with any optical or muzzle attachments. While the M1A1 is a fun to use, it isn’t all that effective and is rather flawed. The only things it has going for it is the amazing hipfire and the fact that you can equip a 50-round drum magazine. Despite the fact it fires the .45 ACP round, it is weaker than most of the other SMGs in its class, such as the MPX or the MP5K coming in at 25 damage out to 15 meters and 15 at 35 meters. The M1A1 also has a relatively moderate rate of fire coming in at 725 rounds per minute, further hurting its damage per second. It also has a rather average reloads having a 2.25 second tactical reload and a 3.73 second empty reload. Recoil is also rather average with a 0.35 vertical pull, a 0.2 pull left and a 0.15 pull right. Also, since it’s an SMG, it isn’t very effective at range. What really hurts this gun, is the fact that it cannot be equipped with optics or a muzzle attachment. This wouldn’t be so bad if it weren’t for the fact that this gun has a rather low DPS and has blocky and obtrusive iron sights. If you want to use this gun, you might as well give it the stubby grip and the extended magazine, as these are the only attachments that the M1A1 has.
M1 Carbine

The M1 carbine is a lightweight semi-automatic carbine chambered in .30 caliber semi-automatic carbine. It is an american design that became a standard weapon in the US Military during World War 2, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. The M1 Carbine can be used by all 4 classes on both sides of the law and is classified as a carbine. This gun, could easily be one of the worst guns in Battlefield: Hardline. This gun suffers from many flaws. First off, it only has 3 attachments available it. The stock, stubby grip and flash hider. It cannot be equipped with any optical attachments, which hurts this weapon greatly, due to its obstructive iron sights, making it harder to track moving targets and the when the gun recoils from firing, it will jolt and make you lose sight of your target. Second, the vertical recoil is rather high, of 0.33, making it difficult in tandem with the awful iron sights. Third, it does very little damage at range. Only doing a mere 15 damage at 60 meters. Fourth, this gun’s accuracy is rather poor. Lastly, and what hinders this gun the most, is that it is limited to semi-automatic fire, so you will have to manually "pull" the trigger every time you fire. However, it does have a few redeeming qualities, those being that it does 34 damage out to 30 meters, its decent ammo capacity of 30+1 in the chamber with an extra 155 rounds as backup ammo. Reloads are quick with a tactical reload of 1.9 seconds and an empty reload of 2.5 seconds. While this may be a contender for the worst gun in the game, it is still a fun and challenging gun to use. If you decide to partake on the challenge of using the M1 carbine, you should equip all of its available attachments, as it definitely needs the accuracy bonus of the stubby/stock combo. The flash hider doesn’t really do anything but hide the muzzle flash of it, so it doesn’t hurt to put that on.
