Assault Rifle : SCAR-H
The assault rifles are exclusive to the assault class. Assault rifles are versatile as they excell in close, medium and long ranges. The best assault rifle that the assault has available is the SCAR-H. The SCAR-H was designed in Belgium by FNH for the United States Special Operations Command. What makes this gun special is it’s damage model. It does 33 damage out to 8 meters and 21.6 damage out to 60 meters. This gun requires a minimum 4 shot kill when compared to other competing assault rifles in it’s class. The SCAR-H has fast reload times of 1.9 seconds when there is a bullet in the chamber and 2.4 seconds when you run the magazine empty. These fast reload times will help the 20+1 in the chamber ammo capacity that the SCAR-H has, as you will be reloading more often than other assault rifles. The rate of fire of the SCAR-H is low at 620 rounds per minute. This can go both ways, as this low rate of fire can help tame it’s high recoil but if you miss a few shots in close quarters, you’re probably going to lose the fight. The muzzle velocity is slow compared to most assault rifles at 500 m/s, so you will need to lead long range targets. My prefered setup for the SCAR-H is a 1x optic (I use a holographic sight), laser sight, no barrel attachment and an angled/folding grip.
Carbine : ACW-R
All classes have access to carbines, so you can run them on any of the 4 classes. Carbines are versatile like assault rifles, but they are a little more lacking at range when compared to assault rifles. The best carbine is that is available is the ACW-R. The ACW-R, also known as the Bushmaster ACR originates from the United States of America and was one of the competitors to replace the current M4 in use by the US Army until its program got cancelled. It is an ambidextrous weapon platform and has a quick barrel-change system. The ACW-R at first glance looks like a very average weapon. It does 24 damage at 8 meters and 15.4 and has an ammo capacity of 30+1 in the chamber. Where this gun shines is its rate of fire and reload speed. The ACW-R fires at 880 rounds per minute and has a tactical reload speed of 1.83 seconds and an empty reload of 2.15 seconds. This weapon excels in close quarters but can work medium and even longer range engagements if you can work around it’s it’s rather high recoil and it’s 500 m/s bullet velocity. My preferred setup for the ACW-R is a 1x optic (I use the holographic sight), laser sight and an angled/folding grip to reduce the high first shot recoil. A muzzle break or compensator can be used to help tame the high recoil but I just run it with no barrel attachment.
PDW : MP7
PDWs are engineer exclusive weapons which are effective in close quarters but ineffective at longer ranges. The best PDW in class is the MP7. The MP7 comes with the China Rising DLC and can be unlocked by completing the “Make A Dent” assignment which requires you to shoot down any air vehicle with either the FIM-92 Stinger or the SA-18 IGLA and obtain 3 anti-vehicle ribbons. This can all be done is separate matches. The MP7 is of German design and is one of the original modern personal defense weapons. It fires a round smaller than a 9mm round but the 4.6x30mm round flies faster giving it the ability to penetrate body armor and allowing the weapon to hold more ammo. The MP7 has a very high rate of fire at 950 rounds per minute and has a larger than average magazine capacity of 40+1 in the chamber. On top of that, it is amazing hip fire making it an effective weapon in close quarters. However, the MP7 has a slightly lower damage model when compared to other PDWs doing 20 damage out to 15 meters and 12.5 damage at 48 meters, which causes it to lose effectiveness at range despite it’s higher than average in class 420 m/s bullet velocity. The MP7 suffers from long reload times of 2.4 seconds when there is a bullet in the chamber and 2.65 seconds when you run it dry. My preferred setup for the MP7 is any 1x optic (I use the holographic sight) and a laser sight to further improve its hipfire.
